Linda Wimberly is an artist, writer, and musician from Marietta, GA. She has a degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities from the University of Alabama, performed as a vocalist and guitarist for over 30 years and taught private music lessons in piano, voice and guitar. Linda is a former Vermont Studio Center resident in writing, and her poetry has appeared in Raw Art Review, Lunch Ticket, big city lit, Stone River Sky - An Anthology of Georgia Poems and other journals. One of her short stories, The Secret, was published in the March and April 2016 issues of Cricket Magazine. Her vocal and choral compositions have been used in and published for schools, churches and grief counseling centers. Linda has four recordings.
Linda is an abstract artist and has exhibited and sold her paintings nationally since 1989. Her paintings have been published in The Critical Pass Review and chosen for the covers of jelly bucket for readers and Inscape. Her painting Woman on the Move was the winner of the 2019 Art Contest in So to Speak language + feminism + art and her painting Freedom won First Place in the Identity Exhibition at Heart Soul and Art Gallery in 2022. Using acrylic, oil and mixed media, she works in a wide variety of media and styles.
